It is written in Greek [[Lower case|minuscule]] letters, on 248 parchment leaves ({{×|30|22.5|cm}}), in two columns per page, 27-28 lines per page.<ref name = Aland/> According to Gregory it has "good text".<ref name = Gregory/>

It is remarkable for its departures from the received text, and for that reason was often cited by [[Constantin von Tischendorf|Tischendorf]], [[Henry Alford|Alford]],<ref name = Scrivener/> and Aland on the Gospels. It contains text of [[Christ's agony at Gethsemane|Luke 22:43-44]] but with doubtful mark.

In Matt 23:38 word {{Unicode|ερημος}} omitted like in [[Codex Vaticanus]], [[Codex Regius (New Testament)|Codex Regius]], ff2, syrc, copsa, bomss.<ref>UBS3, p. 92.</ref>

The manuscript once belonged to [[Charles Burney]], along with codices [[Minuscule 480|480]], [[Minuscule 481|481]], [[Minuscule 482|482]], [[Minuscule 484|484]], and [[Minuscule 485|485]].<ref>{{Cite book

It was examined by Scrivener and [[Caspar René Gregory|Gregory]]. Scrivener gave its collation in 1852 (along with the codex [[lectionary 183|'''ℓ''' ''183'']]).
