I was an UGG despiser until I got a pair...Yes, I'm a recent UGG boot convert - there. The truth is out. Of course, I will never admit that to my friends who would kid me endlessly about having a pair of UGG boots. There's a video below showing my poor frozen UGG boots the morning after my dip...<br>And a disclaimer before we go any further: UGG boots were not created to be winter boots! They were actually created in Australia as a boot for surfers to wear when they came out of the water, hence, no socks needed - that's one theory. The other creation story floating around is that sheep herders created the things for wearing around in the outback when wrangling sheep. Since most UGGs are made of sheep skin, I find that idea mildly offensive as I sure the sheep did too...<br>Whatever the reason, the fact is that UGGs are not meant to be worn in inclement winter weather. Oh, they'll keep your feet warm but they'll suffer in the name of fashion. UGG boots get soggy and sort of get sad looking when wet.
